Overview

Set out on the Inca Jungle Trail, an exhilarating four-day combination of mountain biking, white-water rafting, zip-lining, and trekking through the varied landscapes of Peru that all accumulates in a visit to the well-known Machu Picchu.

Tour Highlights:

Day 1: Mountain bike (and descend) from the Abra Málaga Pass (4,350m) to the small jungle town of Santa María (1,000 meters). There is optional white-water rafting in the afternoon.

Day 2: Trek down jungle trails to Santa Teresa (1,570 meters). There is an optional zip-lining activity.

Day 3: Trek from Santa Teresa to Aguas Calientes (2,040 meters), which includes the Llactapata archaeological site, and the view of Machu Picchu.

Day 4: Early morning hike to Machu Picchu and receive a guided tour. After your guided tour, you will have free time to explore Machu Picchu before returning back to Cusco.

Continue with an uphill trek of approximately 1,700 steps (1-1.2 hours) to the main gate, where you’ll join your group and guide for a 2.5-hour guided tour of Machu Picchu, exploring iconic landmarks like the Temple of the Sun, Sacred Plaza, and Intihuatana Stone.
