Day 1: Scenic Journey Through the Andes

Cusco → Ollantaytambo → Aguas Calientes

Start your adventure with a 10:00 AM hotel pickup in Cusco. From there, enjoy a 1-hour, 45-minute drive through the beautiful Sacred Valley to reach the Ollantaytambo train station.

At 12:55 PM, board your train and soak in the breathtaking views of the Andean landscapes on a 1.5-hour ride to Aguas Calientes, a charming town nestled at the foot of Machu Picchu. Upon arrival, check into your hotel and take some time to explore the area.

Around 7:00 PM, meet your expert guide for a briefing about the next day’s visit to Machu Picchu. This will ensure you’re fully prepared for the incredible experience ahead.


Day 2: Exploring the Lost City of the Incas

Aguas Calientes → Machu Picchu → Cusco

Wake up early for a 5:00 AM breakfast at your hotel and prepare for the highlight of your trip: Machu Picchu. Afterward, board a bus for a 30-minute ride to the main entrance. Arriving early gives you a chance to see the sunrise over Machu Picchu (weather permitting) and experience the site before the crowds arrive.

At 6:00 AM, the gates open, and your guide will lead a 2.5-hour tour, sharing fascinating stories about the Inca civilization and pointing out significant landmarks like the Temple of the Sun and the Intihuatana Stone.

If you’re up for more adventure, you can hike Wayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain for panoramic views. Be sure to secure your tickets for these hikes well in advance. Alternatively, spend extra time wandering the ruins at your own pace.

After exploring, take the bus back down to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy some free time to relax, shop, or grab a meal before heading to the train station.

In the afternoon, board your return train at 2:30 PM or 2:55 PM for the ride back to Ollantaytambo. Upon arrival, a car will be waiting to take you back to Cusco, where you’ll be dropped off at your hotel, completing your unforgettable journey.
