  • Meeting Point: The tour begins at 6:45 a.m. at the Machu Picchu Reservations office, located at Portal Nuevo 270, Plaza Regocijo, very close to Cusco’s Main Square.
  • No Hotel Pickup: Due to heavy traffic typically experienced between 6:00 and 8:00 a.m. in Cusco’s city center, hotel pickup service is not available for this tour. Maneuvering efficiently through Cusco’s narrow streets during this time can be challenging.

  • Time and Location: The tour typically concludes between 6:30 PM and 7:00 PM at Plaza Regocijo, which is conveniently located near Plaza de Armas. This is the designated endpoint of the tour.
  • Drop-Off in Ollantaytambo: You have the option to conclude your tour in Ollantaytambo at approximately 3:30 PM. This is especially convenient for those who plan to travel to Machu Picchu later in the afternoon or wish to spend more time exploring the picturesque town of Ollantaytambo. Please be aware, however, that if you choose to stay in Ollantaytambo, you will not visit Pisac, as it is on the route back to Cusco.

Tips for Your Sacred Valley Tour:

  1. Clothing: Given the cool and variable climate of the Sacred Valley, it is recommended to wear a T-shirt, a sweater, and comfortable pants. Additionally, it’s wise to bring a waterproof jacket or a rain poncho just in case. For footwear, comfortable shoes or sneakers are best as they provide more comfort during your tour.
  2. Sun Protection: The high altitude and intense sunlight in the Sacred Valley necessitate strong sun protection. Be sure to bring sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat to shield yourself.
  3. Camera: With its stunning landscapes, the Sacred Valley offers ample photo opportunities. Don’t forget to bring a camera or smartphone to capture your memories.
  4. Cash: Having cash on hand is useful for purchasing souvenirs, snacks, Sacred Valley tickets, and for any extra expenses.

Amazing trek with the best guide I did the Inca trail to Machupicchu for 4 days and 3 nights, with Salkantay Trekkers Peru. Our organization was excellent I joined a group of 6 people. We had the briefing one night before our departure where our guide Jose gave us full information and some suggestions. The service was very good, with all the staff that we went from the first day between them it is worth mentioning the service of our Cheff and our porters who were the people who took our travel luggage. The whole group saw the desire to work as a team, and in a professional manner. Our Guide Jose very kind and attentive with all the group of tourists and the staff of the Agency. I had the best travel experience with this group and very organized, I congratulate the whole group for making me part of this unforgettable experience. I recommend this travel agency in Cusco, for those people who are interested in traveling to Machu Picchu.
