Hotel/Airbnb Pickup Service:

• Time: Our pickup service is available from 4:30 AM to 5:00 AM. Your guide will directly collect you from your accommodation in Cusco during this time.
• Office Pickup Option: Alternatively, if you are close to our office located at Calle Garcilaso 210, near Plaza de Armas, you can join us there at 5:00 AM. This is the final pickup location before the tour begins.
• Booking Information: At the time of booking, please provide the name and address of your hotel or Airbnb. If you choose to meet at our office, please mention this preference.

End of the Tour or Return:

• Time and Location: The tour typically concludes between 4:30 PM and 5:00 PM at Plaza Regocijo, which is conveniently located near Plaza de Armas. This is the designated endpoint of the tour.
• Additional Drop-off Options: If you prefer to be dropped off at the Cusco airport or bus terminal, please inform your guide in advance. We are happy to accommodate your request; however, advance notice is required to ensure we can make the necessary arrangements.

Daily Departures and Booking: We offer daily tour departures, which you can book online via our website or in person at our Cusco office. Bookings can be made in advance or up to 9:00 PM the night before the tour, accommodating both early planners and last-minute decisions.

Tour Group Size: Typically, groups range from 10 to 16 participants, with a maximum of 17, all led by a bilingual English and Spanish-speaking professional guide.

Tour Meals: Enjoy a nutritious breakfast and buffet lunch also adapted for vegetarians, vegans, gluten-free diets, and other dietary restrictions at no extra cost—just notify us in advance.

Cancellations and Refunds:

• Full Refund: Cancellations made up to 24 hours before the tour begins are eligible for a 100% refund.
• Partial Refund: If you cancel within 24 hours but before 7 PM on the day prior to the tour, you will receive a 50% refund.
• No Refund: Cancellations made after 7 PM the day before the tour are not eligible for a refund.

• Prepare for the altitude: Rainbow Mountain is located at an altitude of over 5100m/16,000 feet, so it’s important to be prepared for the effects of high altitude. Make sure to drink plenty of water, rest as needed, and consider taking altitude sickness medication if recommended by your doctor.
• Dress in layers: The weather at Rainbow Mountain can be unpredictable, so it’s a good idea to dress in layers. Bring warm clothing, as temperatures can drop quickly at high altitudes, but also bring lighter clothing for when the sun is shining.
• Recommended type of shoe: For the hike to Rainbow Mountain, comfort is key. You can complete the trek in any type of sports or hiking shoe that feels comfortable. Many visitors successfully hike in regular sneakers, thanks to the well-maintained trails that make the 4 to 5 hours of walking enjoyable. However, for optimal comfort and support, mountain hiking shoes are highly recommended. These shoes are specifically designed to enhance your foot comfort during the hike.
• Bring sunscreen and sunglasses: The sun can be intense at high altitudes, so it’s important to bring sunscreen and sunglasses to protect yourself from UV rays.
• Bring snacks and water: There are no food or drink vendors along the Rainbow Mountain trail, so be sure to bring snacks and plenty of water to stay hydrated and energized.
• Bring Cash: Ensure you have soles in cash to purchase entrance tickets to Rainbow Mountain and the Red Valley, as these sites only accept cash payments in this currency.
