The vibrant and colourful wildlife sanctuary that is the Ballestas Islands is filled with wild birds and mammals, including sea lions, fur seals, and endangered penguins. This group of rocky islands located off the Pacific coast is a must for animal lovers. Depending on the season, you may also get the chance to see dolphins that swim about the bay. The islands are protected, meaning you cannot swim with the animals or walk on the islands themselves, but you will get very close by speedboat.
